Three things which makes a cat angry

Being petted too much or too roughly:

While most cats enjoy being petted, there is a limit to how much they can take. If you pet a cat for too long or too vigorously, they may become overstimulated and lash out with a swipe or a bite.

Being disturbed while sleeping:

Cats love to sleep, and if they're woken up unexpectedly, they can become very grumpy. If you need to wake up a sleeping cat, do so gently and with care, or you may face their wrath.

Loud or sudden noises:

Cats have sensitive ears and are easily startled by loud or sudden noises. If a cat is already feeling anxious or stressed, a sudden noise can be enough to push them over the edge and make them angry or scared.
